Studies, Hello

Staged 2016–17, Adele World Arena and Stadium Tour

“For her first tour in five years, Adele and I imagined an audience arriving at an arena filled with the sound of her sleeping. Her giant closed eyes would fill one end of the arena, opening on the first note of the song ‘Hello.’ Our ideas evolved through scrawled symbols on setlists when the rehearsals were too loud for talking.”
