Studies, Electric

Staged 2013–15, Pet Shop Boys 2013 World Tour

“The Pet Shop Boys suggested that analog chaos pervade the presentation of their new album Electric. Pete Gleadall, their programmer and producer, taught me about the architecture of the circuit boards within the band’s synthesizers. I made model mazes based on this electronic geometry. In the end, no physical maze appeared on stage, but Neil and Chris wore Minotaur heads etched with maze patterns.”
