Staged 2011, Take That European Stadium Tour

Progress marked the re-emergence of British band Take That after 16 years apart. As a portrait of this popular band’s odyssey, we created a 20-meter-high faceted male figure that rose up from the stage and progressed across the stadium. The ambitious moving sculpture seemed impossible. A number of fabricators declined to take it on, but we refused to be deterred. The size of the figure’s head was determined by the height of a bridge in Hamburg, Germany, the lowest clearance it would encounter on its European tour.”
