Memory Palace mapped the locations of significant shifts in human perspective: the tower in Frombork, Poland, where Nicolaus Copernicus identified the Earth’s position within the solar system; the railings in London’s Parliament Square where Emmeline Pankhurst fought for women’s rights; and the street in Montgomery, Alabama, where Rosa Parks altered views on civil rights. As visitors stood within the oval atlas, we hoped these model rooms, streets, and mountains would demonstrate that the cognitive shifts necessary to address the climate crisis have multiple precedents and are achievable.”
