2022 Positive Peace Index

Designer: Institute for Economics and Peace (Sydney, Australia)

A simple, comparative measurement system for 163 countries that is derived from 25,000 datasets over multiple years. The lower the number or score on the Index, the higher the level of peacefulness within a society. The 2022 Index noted the majority of the countries assessed recorded improvements in levels of peacefulness over the last decade, though that has weakened in the last years due to COVID-19.
