Ralph Rucci’s (American, b. 1957) ready-to-wear and haute-couture lines are distinguished by luxurious fabrics, impeccable attention to detail, and articulated silhouettes. His commitment to craftsmanship is best seen when he is working on garments in his showroom. The constructed silhouette of this little black dress is painstakingly embellished with matte-black paillettes, giving the garment a three-dimensional elegance even while it rests motionless on a dressform.
